Covid-19 has forced us to come up with new ways to do our normal everyday tasks, at home. Our homes are now the gyms, our kitchen table is our office, we talk to our friends from six feet away minimum, and restaurants encourage you to do takeout. One thing that is important to remember is to have a specific place where you work. For many people, this stop is very different. Some people have a home office which is nice but others do not. Some great places to think of is the kitchen counter and sit in the same place every time, the dining room table, or some kind of desk that is not in your room. A big reason for not working in your room is because it tends to create a lot of unwanted distractions. Our bodies and minds associate our rooms with sleep, which tens to make us easily distracted. If you are able to find a place in your house where you can work, that is not your room, it will help you stay focused and be a lot more productive.
2. Keep all Distractions out of Reach
For many of us, having our phone right by us is a big distraction. All it takes is for us to look at it and now it is in our hands. But it is not just phones. For a lot of us, our phone have to be by our side because that is how other co-workers get a hold of us but if we have a job where we do not need it. It is a good idea to keep it out of reach. If you have to use your phone, try and only use it for what you need. Try not to get distracted by social media and games.
